Very disturbing book...just the way we likem.It follows the search of a down and out PI as he searches for a mysterious book that will save America from depravity. Of course he has to have a hottie who falls in love with him and accompanies him on his trek.
Ellis seemed to sit down and think of 5 or 6 different heinous scenarios and string them together for our pleasure and discomfort. Loses its way about 75% of the way through and recovers towards the end.
Well worth a quick read.
